Philip is an experienced business leader with a proven track record having held senior sales & marketing roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
At the start of 2019 to set up his own business offering Training and Consultancy in Marketing, Sales and Leadership.
Philip engages well with people at all levels & puts them at ease. Believing that we deliver our best performance when we are fully engaged, feel valued and enjoying what we do he endeavours to produce tailored training events which are fast paced, engaging and fun. The output is focused on a change of behaviour to deliver outstanding commercial results.
Career Summary & Experience
Philip spent 26 years at AstraZeneca as a top achiever (AZ Academy 4 times & global award winner twice) before setting up his own business.
Sales Leadership Experience
Led National & Regional sales teams of 50-120 people within the pharmaceutical sector to exceed sales targets of over $200m. Within this time, Philip gained considerable experience of driving performance as well as leading teams through change.
Philip spent 8 years in Marketing roles, culminating in leading the Respiratory & Inflammation Franchise. During that time, he was accountable for 3 brands at different lifecycle stages.
Philip was accountable for developing & launching AstraZeneca’s multi-channel mix within the UK. These were new capabilities to AZ. Philip & the team not only researched & designed what these new channels might look like but also demonstrated the sales impact that they had and led a change management programme to maximise engagement across the business.
Since 2019, Philip has worked with Roche, MSD, IQVIA, Novartis, Ipsen, Jazz, Bayer, Kyowa Kirin, Complimed (Medical Compliance Company, now Pharmalex), MiraVeta, Simbec Orion (Clinical Research Organisation) and AstraZeneca.
